Multi-Function Calculator Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application “Multi-Function Calculator” (“the App”). We respect your privacy and aim to use the minimum information necessary to provide calculator, history, notes, currency conversion, membership, and related features.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account and does not intentionally collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or identity documents.
To provide App features, the App may store the following information locally on your device:
- Calculation expressions, results, notes, note colors, and archived calculation records;
- App settings, such as decimal places, angle unit, date display, sound, haptics, voice feedback, and scientific keyboard settings;
- Membership status cache, such as whether Pro is active, plan type, and expiration date, used to verify access to Pro features.
2. Local Storage
Your calculation records, notes, archives, and settings are primarily stored locally on your device. Unless you use system backup, migration, or other Apple-provided syncing features, we do not upload this content to our own servers.
3. Currency Conversion
When you use currency conversion, the App requests exchange rate data from the third-party service Frankfurter. The request usually includes currency codes such as USD, CNY, or EUR. Amount calculations are primarily performed locally. The third-party service may process technical information included in network requests, such as IP address, network information, and access time, according to its own policies.
4. Membership and In-App Purchases
The App uses Apple StoreKit and the App Store in-app purchase system to process membership purchases, subscriptions, restore purchases, and transaction verification. Payment information, Apple ID, billing information, and refund handling are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your complete payment details.
The App may cache membership status locally to determine whether Pro features are available. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
5. Voice, Sound, and Haptics
If you enable key voice or result voice, the App uses system speech synthesis to read keys, expressions, or results aloud. The spoken content is used for local playback and is not sent to our servers.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Display, save, restore, and manage your calculation records;
- Provide notes, archives, currency conversion, scientific calculation, and membership features;
- Save your App preferences;
- Verify membership access and enable corresponding features.
7. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not intentionally share your calculation records or notes with third parties except in the following cases:
- When you use currency conversion, the App requests exchange rate data from a rate service;
- When you use App Store in-app purchases, purchase and subscription processing is handled by Apple;
- When required by applicable laws, courts, regulators, or lawful requests.
8. Data Deletion
You can clear calculation records, delete notes, or delete archives in the App. You may also uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data from your device. Subscription cancellation and refunds must be handled through the App Store or Apple Support.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy due to changes in features, laws, or review requirements. The updated policy will be made available in the App or on the relevant page and will take effect from the stated effective date.
